Spanish 1
2019-2020

This is a high school course in which students use the language authentically, communicating in real-life situations from the beginning of the course. They learn the sound system and basic grammar and vocabulary, primarily through use of the language in meaningful contexts. Students develop the ability to communicate about themselves and others using simple sentences based on familiar topics such as school, family and friends, and free time activities.

Welcome to the new 2019 – 2020 school year!  Congratulations on becoming part of the World Language experience and Spanish 1!  Are you feeling excited, nervous, apprehensive, or all of the above?  Believe it or not, those are all normal emotions many students experience and you are not alone.  To help you get started, view this website for Tips on Learning a New Language
