Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

On April 14 and April 15, 2021, The Bull Run Middle School Mental Health Team will facilitate the classroom guidance lesson, “Taking Care of Ourselves” to all seventh-grade students. This lesson will address information regarding suicide prevention to include an understanding of typical and atypical reactions to stress, developing healthy coping strategies, and awareness regarding community and school mental health supports.

The lesson will cover the following objectives:

The duration of this lesson is approximately 20 minutes. During the lesson, students will be given the opportunity to request a meeting with one of our school based mental health professionals should they require support or have concerns regarding another student.
