                                                           Quarter 1
1 a-e: Historical and geographical analysis of primary and secondary source documents to make connections and interpret ideas and events from different historical perspectives.

                                                                 
Quarter 1
2 a-c:
United States geography, including the relationships between physical features and the movement of people westward, and the relationship between natural resources and transportation.

                                                                  Quarter 2
3 a-c: Reconstruction following the Civil War, including the significant individuals involved, new amendments, and the impact on the South and North.

                                                                  Quarter 2                                       
4 a-e: Westward Expansion, reasons for increased immigration, the growth of industry, impact of the Progressive Movement, and the post-Reconstruction South.

                                                           Quarter 3
5 a-c: Spanish American War, including causes and results, Theodore Roosevelt's foreign policy impacts, and the reasons for the United States' involvement in World War I and its changing role in the world.
