Math Man

Welcome to 7th Grade Math!

I look forward to my 26th year as an educator in Prince William County. I was a math teacher for my first 20 years in the county.  During that time taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry at all three grade levels in the middle school.  Recently I had the opportunity to teach Life Science and made the switch 5 years ago.  This year I will be returning to teach Math at the 7th grade.

My role as an educator is to help students realize their academic potential and provide an environment where each student feels safe to learn from their mistakes.  School is more than the retention of academic content.  School is a place where students develop social skills that will help them become polite, respectful, and responsible young adults.

I look forward to working with everyone this school year.

Respectfully,

Mike Bonfadini

Remote Learning for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year

Parents and Students,

I hope everyone is well and being safe.  I am disappointed that schools were forced to close but I want you to know that I am still your teacher for the remainder of the school year.  I will still be here to provide educational opportunities to review previously taught content and answer any questions you may have. Please visit your math course content page for more specific information about remote learning by clicking on the appropriate link on the left side of this page.  Also, third quarter grades have been extended until mid April.  Please review your grade on STUDNETVUE and be sure to communicate to me any discrepancies you see with your grades.  There will be no new assignments added and any suggested activities in the future will not be graded.  However, I am here to help teach the content.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Respectfully,

Mr. Bonfadini

Update 4/20

Parents and Students,

I hope everyone is doing well.  I wanted to remind everyone that the end of the 3rd quarter is this Friday.  I will be excepting assignments through Wednesday night.  If you wish to redo any assignments, please email me the title(s) of the assignments so I can reset them.  Once an assignment is completed, you will need to email me the new score you received.  Also, please review your grade and communicate to me if you think there is an error prior to Thursday.  There will be no grades given in the 4th quarter.  All review activities are optional.  The final year grade for Math will be the average of the first three quarters of the school year.  If you have any questions regarding grades, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Respectfully,

Mr. Bonfadini
