Office Hours: My designated "office hours" are Monday afternoons from 12:00-1:30.  I can be reached via email throughout the week.  I will do my best to respond to emails in a timely fashion.

Welcome to Mrs. Bjork's Language Arts 8 and Extended Language Arts 8 classes! 
On this site, you will find information about the course, resources, extras (in case of lost papers), as well as updates about our class learning activities, assessments, opportunities and any upcoming homework. This site is a great tool for make-up work or review.

If a student would like the opportunity to retake or rewrite a summative assessment, the student will need to ask the teacher and arrange a time (class, lunch, home, after school, etc) to complete the retake.  Retakes should be completed in a timely manner (ideally within a week).  Please email if you have any questions about retakes.

Expert 21 Digital Textbook


All students have access to an online textbook for Language Arts.
To access the text, click the link on my page labeled "Scholastic Student Access" (found in the links section). From there, students should select Expert 21. Their login and password is their student ID number. When logged in, students can read copies of texts, find additional resources, and extend their learning. Let Mrs. Bjork know if you have trouble logging in, or have any questions.
