Dear Bull Run Middle School Community,

I hope this message finds you enjoying a restful, joyful, and rejuvenating summer with your loved ones. As the days of summer begin to wind down, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the start of a new school year at Bull Run Middle School.

Our team has been hard at work preparing for another incredible year of learning, growth, connection, and opportunity. We are eager to welcome our students back and see our hallways, classrooms, cafeteria, fields, and learning spaces come alive once again with the energy, curiosity, and promise of excellence.

This vision is more than a statement. It is the commitment that guides our work each day. We believe every student deserves to be known, valued, challenged, and supported. Our goal is to create a school experience where students feel a strong sense of belonging, take ownership of their learning, build confidence in who they are, and develop the skills necessary to thrive in high school and beyond.

This year, we will continue to focus on helping every student read, write, speak, think critically, collaborate, and solve problems across all subject areas. Just as importantly, we will continue to nurture a school culture where students are encouraged to ask questions, take risks, show kindness, lead with purpose, and discover their unique strengths.

As we prepare for the new school year, please view our school website for important updates, including the 2026–2027 supply lists, schedules, transportation information, athletics, and other back-to-school details.

We are also excited to invite students and families to our Meet and Greet event on Friday, August 21, where students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers, explore their classrooms, organize supplies, and begin building the connections that lead to a successful first day of school.

The schedule is below:

  • 7th and 8th Grade: 8:15 to 9:30 AM
  • 6th Grade:
    • Last Names A–M: 10:00 to 11:00 AM
    • Last Names N–Z: 11:15 – 12:15 AM

Students will receive locker information from their advisory/first period teacher during the event and will have an opportunity to set up their lockers ahead of the first day.

As principal, I am honored to serve a school community that is deeply committed to student success. Our staff believes in the potential of every child, and we recognize the important partnership between home and school in helping students reach that potential. Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and trust as we work together to make this an outstanding year for every student.  As we begin this new chapter together, I am reminded of a simple but powerful belief:
