Principal's Message

 August 15, 2025

Dear Bull Run Middle School Community,

 The first day of school for students is Monday, August 18th. Our doors will open for student arrival at 7:55 AM, and breakfast will be available starting that day. During the school year, all students should be in class by 8:10 AM, with the final tardy bell ringing at 8:15 AM.

The first few days of school will be a time for students and parents to get accustomed to the arrival process. If you are driving your child to school, please follow the directions of our staff during morning drop-off. All students will pass through our security screening equipment upon arrival. We begin each day with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence, followed by morning announcements livestreamed to classrooms.

 On the first day of school, students will be assigned an iPad and charger during their advisory/homeroom class. Students should keep their charger at home and charge their device nightly. Backpacks, cell phones, and wireless devices must be stored in lockers during the school day. Students wearing smartwatches must keep them on airplane mode. Wireless headphones or AirPods are not permitted during the school day. Students may bring and use their own wired headphones (USB-C connection) or use classroom sets provided by teachers for instructional purposes. Headphones may be over-ear or in-ear, but must be wired if used at school. For more details, please review the PWCS Cell Phone-Free Education Information website.

Student dismissal begins daily at 2:55 PM. Students will be dismissed by grade level to buses, the walker path, or the kiss-and-ride area. We ask that parents follow BRMS staff procedures during pick-up and allow students to exit the building and walk to the designated area.

Preliminary bus schedules are available in ParentVUE and StudentVUE. Please note that bus route information may change at the beginning of the school year due to enrollment adjustments. ParentVUE and StudentVUE provide the most up-to-date bus information, and we encourage families to check regularly for updates. The EZ A2B bus tracking app and Bus Delays webpage provide timely updates on bus transportation.

The annual Back to School Packet, where parents/guardians can review emergency cards, update contact information, and complete annual policy reviews and acknowledgment is available in ParentVUE. All families should complete the Back to School Packet by Friday, September 12, 2025. The information you provide will allow school staff to ensure your student's safety this school year.

  1. Log in to the ParentVUE app or the ParentVUE website using your ParentVUE user name and password.
  2. Once logged in to ParentVUE, click the Online Records button at the top of the screen.

 We will begin our weekly BRMS news bulletin next Friday, August 22.  The weekly news bulletin will come out weekly for the remainder of the school year and have important dates, information and event schedules.
