THANK YOU to all who tried out. We had an overwhelming number of boys come out this year. As always, it is so difficult to select one team from a talented pool. For my 6th and 7th graders, come back next year! You have so much potential. As I told you, don’t give up and keep working hard.

I am Coach Carrie Rist this year's boys middle school soccer coach. As a brief intro, I am a mom of five and step-mom of two with a current 8th grader at Bull Run. I am also Vice President of a federal contracting company in McLean so I spend a lot of time on route 66 or juggling conference calls. Please give me time to respond to any emails you may have.
This is my third year coaching at Bull Run and I absolutely love it 💚.Originally Chicago suburb, many years ago I played Division I soccer at Western Illinois on a full athletic scholarship. I then lived overseas for 13 years and dabbled in semi-pro leagues both in Guam and Germany. I have coached here and there but mainly on my kids teams.
Coach Neely is our assistant coach/administrator (cc: here [email protected]) - I am THANKFUL for her help and please reach out with any logistical questions.
1) Uniforms - we are assigning uniforms this week. Socks are NOT included therefore, the boys will need to purchase a pair of white socks. We will wear WHITE SOCKS for all games.
2) Equipment - the boys need to have cleats and shin guards at every practice.
3) Practices - we practice daily Monday - Thursday from 3 - 4:45 PM to dismiss timely for the activity buses. Friday practices are occasional and we will let you know in advance if we are having Friday practices. Since we play games on Mondays, we may need to practice Fridays to go over plays.
4) Games - please see the game schedule for Home and Away games and locations. I will send out an email the night before with specific game day information for parents. Games typically start at 5/5:15 PM pending buses arriving timely.
Home games = wear GREEN
Away games = wear WHITE
5) Transportation - the boys will ride the PWCS buses to all away games. If you would like to have your child leave with you from an away game, you must sign the student out with coaches after the game. All students who are not signed out will ride the PWCS bus back to Bull Run and must be picked up from school. Please plan to timely pick up your students.
6) Game Day Snacks - Coach Neely oversees organizing game day snacks and has done a tremendous job in past years collecting donations from parents and businesses. Please reach out to Coach Neely to donate.
7) Team Pictures - October 10, 2024 at Bull Run Middle School.
