Bookworms Book Club is for students who LOVE to read and share inspiring and favorite books with others.  Like other book clubs, our time begins with students sharing their current reading books, giving recommendations, and providing memorable quotes.  Time will be provided to read independently, with a partner, or in a small group in a comfortable and relaxing setting with the remaining time.     
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          
Bookworms will meet the first and second marking periods only.  Meeting days are every WEDNESDAYS after school from 3:00-4:45 in Mrs. Tumblin’s room 1504.  
Please note: This club is limited to the first 25 students who have submitted an application and emergency form. 
Other students will be put on a wait list and emailed when a spot becomes available. 
                                                          

HOW TO JOIN BOOKWORMS BOOK CLUB 

Fill out the Bookworms Book Club Application and the Emergency Form. 
These documents will be located here, in the cafeteria, and outside of Mrs. Tumblin's room, 1504, in October. 
      

BOOKWORMS BOOK CLUB POLICY ON BEHAVIOR & ATTENDANCE 

NOTE: Please let me know if you will be absent. If anyone misses three Bookworms Book Club in a row, without informing me of their absence, it will be assumed that they are no longer interested in participating in Bookworms Book Club and their space will be filled by the next person on the wait list. Parents/Guardians will be notified if this occurs. 
                                                               

TRANSPORTATION & LEAVING THE BUILDING 

All students must observe the code of conduct and SOAR behavioral guidelines during club meeting times. 
Discipline issues will result in removal from club participation. 
 
It is expected that you stay with fellow Bookworm Book Club members as you leave the classroom. I need to make sure that everyone is accounted for as they leave. Please stay together with other students that are riding the same bus.    
You must go to your locker before Bookworms Book Club, as you will not be permitted to do so at the end of the club.  
1. WALK home with a school provided Walkers Pass. 
2. RIDE the 5:00 Activity Bus 
    *IMPORTANT - Students must know their address. 
             Activity Buses do not stop at every regular bus stop. 
    *IMPORTANT - Please review the bus schedules so you know your Bus# and the route home from the drop off point. 
3. PICKED UP by parents/guardians at 4:45. 
    
*NOTE: Parents/Guardians must be at Bull Run Middle School by 4:45 or students must take the 5:00 Activity Bus.
